Before You Build ("we", "us", "our") provides at-scale layout walkthrough sessions to homeowners planning renovations. We are the data controller for the personal information you share with us. You can contact us at hello@beforeyoubuild.co.uk.

Contact details: name, email address and any phone number you provide.
Project information: floor plans, sketches, photos, project type and notes you upload or share.
Booking details: session dates, preferences and correspondence with us.
Technical data: basic analytics such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Respond to enquiries and confirm your booking.
Prepare your full-scale layout and run your session.
Send follow-up notes, summaries and any agreed second-visit details.
Improve our website and service quality.
Comply with our legal and accounting obligations.

4. Lawful basis

We rely on contract (to deliver the session you've booked), legitimate interests (to run and improve our business) and consent (for any optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

Trusted service providers (e.g. Formspree for form submissions, email and hosting providers) acting on our instructions.
Your architect, builder or designer, only if you ask us to.
Authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for up to 3 years after our last contact, and accounting records for 6 years as required by UK law. Floor plans and project files are deleted on request, or within 12 months of your session.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@beforeyoubuild.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to make the site work, and may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use the site. No advertising cookies are used.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
